Twitter Tools

Here are a few app that will help you stay organized with your friends on Twitter. I’ll list off some that I use, please reply to this page if you know of a great Twitter app or webpage that I may have missed.

I like an app called Tweetdeck, and looks like this.

I also like to have an app up that will show all the local tweets, that one I use is called TwitterLocal and it looks like this.

Another very helpful website for me is FriendorFollow.com. It will show you those who you are following, that aren’t following you back. It’s pretty handy for sorting out those who never update or may just be clogging up your stream.

One way to build up your followers is to follow interesting people, hoping they will follow you back. A site I use to look up those who are interested in the same topics as I am is twellow.com. I used it to search out everyone that had the word “Topeka” in their bio and followed them with our @TopekaTweetup Twitter account.

I’ll add to this list as I think of more helpful Twitter sites, this should be a good start for those looking to take advantage of Twitter, but are unsure how.

Here is an extended list of outstanding Twitter Tools to check out.
